Moosfluh Enduro Trail starts high above the Aletsch Plateau at the Moosfluh view point with a glorious view of the Great Aletsch Glacier. This flowing, fairly easy single trail takes you along the ridge. Heads up: very popular with hikers – so start early or share the trail fairly.
Shortly before Biel, the line of the Moosfluh Enduro Trail curves off towards Blausee – and things begin to speed up. A few short climbs keep you on your toes.
From Lake Blausee, you find yourself on the new Blausee Trail (opens in or around September 2025): with steep banked turns, jumps and creative elements – ideal for shredding all the way to Riederalp.
After a short detour through the village, the technical highlight of this Aletsch Enduro Trail awaits you: the natural descent towards Mörel. Steep, rocky, rooty – difficulty level “Red” and definitely not for beginners. In Goppisberg, it is well worth making a brief stop in the old village centre (snack station in the self-service restaurant). The route then continues through woods and meadows until the last few metres of asphalt bring you to Mörel. From there, catch the cable car – the next Aletsch Enduro Trail is waiting.
Highlights:
- Start with a glacier panorama in the Aletsch Arena
- Curvy, flowing trail section at Lake Blausee
- Technical forest descent with local vibes
- Refreshment stop in Goppisberg
- Tons of downhill action
Trail signposting: Follow the red signs with the white biker symbol and the black sticker with the abbreviation MOT – this stands for Moosfluh Enduro Trail.
Please note: At the start of the trail and when transitioning between different difficulty levels, the difficulty level of the next section is displayed.
Important: Respect for hikers and nature in the Aletsch Arena – ride with a generous attitude.

Author´s Tip / Recommendation of the author
- Detour if the trail is crowded: set off via Sparrhorn / Stoneman Uphill (from Moosfluh to the left) and join the Moosfluh Enduro Trail later.
- Split tip: upper part to Riederalp = easier and less weather-dependent; lower part = more technical and rewarding in dry conditions.
- Part of the lower section between Riederalp and Mörel (or from Goppisberg) is already rideable in spring. Ideal for an early season start with plenty of downhill action.
